Sounds like reality is setting in -- the deal seems to be getting trimmed down considerably. Most of the studios told them to drop dead; Fox and Universal seem to be splitting it (after cutting the upfront payment to $5M and a few other things), with discussions about final cut (ha!) to come.
Sounds like either a matter of massive naivete or a rational understanding of "you don't get if you don't ask". Still worth watching, though...
