Reupdated the Webcomics list: Now up to 42!

And I can read them all in less than ten minutes thanks to tabbed browsing :) (besides the comic days are staggered so I only read a maximum of 30 (if that) on any given day, and about half of them update at around 10 PM pacific or before, so I can read those the day before).

Anyway, new comics on the list are: (no full review)

Schlock Mercenary: Military, sci-fi humor. (8/10)
Dominic Deegan: Fantasy, sarcastic and punning humor/drama. (9/10)
Least I Could Do: Think Joey and Chandler of Friends, first few seasons. (8/10)
Antihero for Hire: Sarcastic and Cynical Superhero humor. (9/10)
Reality Glitch: Finding its roots, developing, semi-geek humor. (6/10)
Winter Comic: Drama heavy, inside near-future ongoing-war-devastated city. (8/10)
Under Power: Superhero/Gaming humor. (7/10)

Of the 7 new comics (7!), only Schlock is a many-year old comic. Dominic, LICD, Antihero and Winter are all amazingly good new ones, and I mean amazing.

Ya know, a year ago, I could remember the web-addresses of all the webcomics I visit daily off the top of my head. Now I can barely remember half.

Oh, and a total of 13 of the comics are hosted by Keenspot, one of the biggest reason why webcomics are so good. They give free hosting as long as you put their banners on the page. They pwn.

Anyway, I'm off to visit my family for thanksgiving, as well as my girlfriend (yay!), but my computer is a bit too bulky to take with me, so I'll have to survive without it. This means my bookmarks won't be with me (I'll live, all my webcomics are here :) ), nor will my mail be easy access (minor difficulty), and I won't be able to play computer games.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

heh, I'll live. Besides, we got Satilite TV at home, as well as a Playstation.

Now, TO PACK!

BTW: ignore the next few lines of post: these are other bookmarks I want to hold on to during the trip:

Someone really needed two things for that: 1: A grammer checker. 2: Someone with an IQ over 10. How exactly do you "recomputerise" data?

2/15

Very intresting. I might want to buy that when it comes out.

Its a book about the 30 Million protesters world-wide. The site has a preview of it, and the final thing will have 131 photos of the protests on 2/15/03 from 38 countries...

Oh, and Liz, since you haven't yet, you should check out the farscape thing on the entry below...

And does anyone read this?

Had a midterm on Tuesday and got it back *waits 5 minutes* yesterday. The average score was about 75 points, and I got 78 points.

It does help that the exam was out of 75 points...

A combination of REALLY stupid oversights (paren's mainly) and lots of extra-credit gave me the 100+% score.

Oh, and I KNOW liz'll love this linkage (just sign up for the free membership at Chicago Tribune to read):

`Farscape' fans use Internet to resurrect canceled show

YAY!

Okay, this is the greatest thing ever:

Fanboys

Trust me, Mom, you'll love it :).
Shrek 2

Heh.

Oh, uhh, nothing really happening here.

Yeah.

zzzzzz...

Saw my parents, as well as Matrix yesterday.

Matrix Revolutions was, well, okay. It wasn't nearly as revolutionary or spectacular as Matrix was, and the martial art fight scenes weren't NEARLY as cool as the ones in Reloaded. The big-ass Zion Battle scene WAS pretty cool, but the climatic fight scene was shot in a manner akin to Mission Impossible 2, where they make quick cuts, slow-mo, and close-ups that not only prevent you from seeing most of the actual moves, but seem to make the fighting more specatular and exciting than it actually was.

Hell, the latter half of the fight scene was done DragonBall Z style, which is NOT a complement. Where the hell did Smith learn how to fly?

The plot was well done, I'll give you that. But I didn't really want to see a plot-heavy movie, I wanted to see Neo kick Smith's ass. Neo only had one fight scene in the Matrix! ONE!

Grrr...

Well, I've finished all my midterms.

As you know, I got a 94 on my ICS midterm.

I got my Discret Math one back today, and I'm rather annoyed: I only got a 98.

Look, the test was REALLY easy! It was the basic equivalent of what is 5 + 5 * 10? If you don't know the Order of Operations, its difficult, otherwise its a breeze. Just basically a rules memorization midterm, and boy am I good with rules :).

I lost two points on one thing that I'm not too sure about what they were talking about, and I didn't get the extra credit worth 3 points for an unknown reason.

So, I'm gonna ask why because I'm pretty darn sure I got all the points.

Still, a 98 IS a 98 :).

I haven't gotten my American Gov't one back yet, and I'm likely to get that either today or tomorrow. My current estimates are in the B range, since I've always had trouble with in-class essays...

Oh, and my parents are coming down this weekend, and after the UCI sponsored stuff, are gonna hang out with me and probably visit one of the local malls.

Yeah. Uhh, I REALLY wouldn't mind seeing Matrix Revolutions this saturday :D.

But yeah, that's mostly it. Oh, and there's a LAN party this friday that I'm going to, so w00t!

Movies I am now looking forward to:

The Perfect Score

A fictional movie about students trying to steal the SAT answers... What's not to like?

Paycheck

This just looks good. Period. Great premise, and intresting Sci-fi to boot.

The Butterfly Effect

More sci-fi, and this is about what happens to a guy who can go back in time to save his love, and how it goes horribly, horribly wrong. Looking UBER.

Bad Santa

Snicker. The trailer looks good, and I love the elf :).
